The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has called on all meaningful Ghanaians to support the upcoming #OccupyBoGDemo on Tuesday, October 3.
This call was made when members of the NDC, some smaller parties, and stakeholders of the #OccupyBoGDemo protest landed on the Odododiodio Constituency’s soil to rally more support for the protest.
The upcoming demonstration, according to Dr. Cassiel Ato Baah Forson, the minority leader in Parliament, is a communal labor for all discerning Ghanaians to seek the resignation of Dr. Ernest Addison, Governor of the Bank of Ghana (BoG), and his deputies, citing allegations of mismanagement of state resources.
Dr. Forson stressed that the governor doesn’t deserve to stay in office because the ills he has committed are entirely inimical to the growth of the country.
The NDC’s National Communications Officer,Lawyer Sammy Gyamfi, in his address in the Odododiodio constituency of the Greater Accra Region, urged all Ghanaians and stakeholders to support such a good cause, adding that it is the responsibility of all Ghanaians to demand accountability from the Governor of the Bank of Ghana.
The MP for Ningo Prampram, Sam George, in his turn on the platform, has also pledged to bring 1000 people from his constituency to join the much anticipated protest and urged fellow minority members to follow the same modus operandi.
