A member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) legal team, Abraham Amaliba has described the Nana Akufo-Addo’s government as the worst government in Ghana’s history.
This, he said, is due to the fact that the President has shared various government appointments to his family members.
According to him, the country is being mismanaged because of the over 45 close relatives of the president are serving in various positions in his government.
“This country is being mismanaged, we need a quick fix. This is the most nepotistic government. We have counted about 45 of the president’s relations alone in government. The president’s daughter, the nephews, cousins it is now like an amalgamation of the family that has come together to rule this country,” he said.
Amaliba’s criticism is in line with what the other NDC stalwarts have been trumpeting about the current NPP government.
He described the current government as a “family that has come together to rule the country.”
He called on the president to give some of the money he earns to his daughter instead of giving her a position that requires payment from the State.
According to him, a second term Mahama Government will put a stop to the current nepotism in governance.
