A heavy downpour yesterday has resulted in the death of three people at Kabilma in the Bole District of the Northern Region.
The three who were in a tricycle while crossing a bridge over Yokanba river between Dakurpe and Kabilma in the Bole District got drowned after their tricycle could not withstand the speeding water.
The Bole District Director of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Mr Sule Kipo, confirmed the incident to Nkilgi FM in an interview.
He explained that the victims did not know that the bridge was washed away and in an attempt to cross the it, the running water carried all of them with the “Motor King”.
A search party after several hours found the three bodies at separate locations.
The bodies have been sent to Dakurpe and a report made to the Bole police.
