Former president John Dramani Mahama has assured the Ghanaian youths of creating sustainable jobs for them.

President Mahama stressed that his administration ensured a significant jump in GDP, adding that in his campaign tour almost everywhere he goes to, the chiefs and traditional leaders extend their gratitude to him for the infrastructural projects that were been executed under his tenure as president but left to rot now under the Nana Akuffo Addo government.

In his reply he said “we always sit on handszide and said that look there are somethings that we could have done better and is same mistake this government is committing, it should do with youths employment which is a ticking time bomb waiting to explode”. So my agenda is that our next government will focus on skilled manpower , looking at our economic growth rate we must make a paradigm shift because we need more skilled labour like plumbers, Bulldozer operators, Welders, excavator operators and other. We are in a situation where after school our youths are jobless and has no skill for employment, so we have a comprehensive plan for creating a lot of jobs, he continued.

Again in his reply he further said ” I think our attention on youths entrepreneurship, providing employment for young people is what i think we could have done better under my government,” though we spent ten million Ghana cedis on the youth enterprise support initiatives but i think we could have done better, he again noted.
