The Municipal Chief Executive Officer of the Ga West Municipal Assembly of Greater Accra Region, Mr. Clement Nii Lamptey Wilkinson has said that he will be third time lucky when NPP delegates of Amasaman Constituency vote for him to represent the New Patriotic Party in election 2020.

It is worth mentioning that Clement Wilkinson was the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for the Amasaman constituency in elections 2012 and 2016.

He polled 21761 votes in the 2012 Parliamentary elections for the NPP but was beaten by Emmanuel Nii Okai Laryea of the NDC who had 29724 votes.

In the 2016 Parliamentary elections, Clement Wilkinson pulled a surprise by narrowing the gap considerably. Even though the NDC candidate managed to sail through, it is on record that in Greater Accra, Clement Wilkinson is the parliamentary candidate who made the biggest improvement on the votes he garnered in 2012.

In the 2016 elections Clement Wilkinson reduced the almost 8000 deficit in 2012 to just 124. This was a significant improvement on the 2012 results.

The Chief Executive Officer whose trump card is the good relationship he enjoys with chiefs and people of Amasaman regardless of their political affiliation is going into the September 28th primaries with four other candidates.

He has expressed optimism about victory in the impending internal primaries in Amasaman Constituency and has made an appeal to the delegates to vote for him so that he can use the experience he has accumulated over the years to win the Amasaman Parliamentary Seat for the NPP in 2020.

Touching on his achievements as Municipal Chief Executive for Ga West, Clement Wilkinson recounted enormous development in the areas of education, health, water, roads and electricity. Every electoral area in the municipality has a feel of the development agenda of the NPP.

The strengths of the above and how he has empowered party people in the constituency gives Clement Wilkinson the hope that delegates of Amasaman will once again present him to face the NDC in 2020.
