[dropcap]A [/dropcap]research think thank, Strategic Thinkers Network (STRANEK) is charging the security agencies to probe further on Tema Port alleged missing cocaine case.

The group in a statement was reacting to the response by Mr. Confidence Nyadzi, Tema Sector Commander of Customs Excise and Preventive Service (CEPS) who has debunked the revelations and accusations made by The Finders that 10 (ten) bags of suspected cocaine, each weighing 50kgs (500kg in all) hidden in a consignment of rice with an estimated street value of about $30 million in the Tema [ads1]Port go missing under mysterious circumstances.

According to STRANEK “per the conflicting nature of the statement by the Tema Sector Commander of CEPS, can confidently say that the cocaine is indeed missing until proven beyond reasonable doubt hence this saga must not be thrown under the carpet.”

The group has cited many previous famous cocaine cases that started with same narratives as presented by the CEPS commander.

The group is therefore calling on the “Narcotic Control Board (NACOB), Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) among other authorities which must be tasked by government must probe microscopically to unravel the real truth behind the cocaine saga.”

REFUSION OF MISSING COCAINE BY CEPS SECTOR COMMANDER NOT SATISFACTORY; PROBE FURTHER-STRANEK

Revelations were made by The Finders sources on a missing 10 (ten) bags of suspected cocaine, each weighing 50kgs (500kg in all) hidden in a consignment of rice with an estimated street value of about $30 million in the Tema Port under mysterious circumstances.

Confidence Nyadzi, Tema Sector Commander of CEPS has debunked the revelations and accusations. However, we at Strategic Thinkers Network (STRANEK) per the conflicting nature of the statement by the Tema Sector Commander of CEPS, can confidently say that the cocaine is indeed missing until proven beyond reasonable doubt hence this saga must not be thrown under the carpet. Narcotic Control Board (NACOB), Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) among other authorities which must be tasked by government must probe microscopically to unravel the real truth behind the cocaine saga.

Retrospectively with regards to past cocaine sagas, narratives were said by Chief Inspector Charles Adaba et al during the MV Benjamin Saga. Darkey among others were not excluded in the narratives and initial submissions. The submissions and narratives were a mirage in the long run. The 25 slabs of cocaine against 30 slabs as reported and many other monstrous revelations.

Also in the retrospective mood, a cocaine saga alleged against Mr. Amoateng, a sitting MP as at that time arrested in the United States had his story twisted to the general public about his innocence only for the US authorities to bring out the naked facts of his involvement in the trading of cocaine.  The twists and turns on past cocaine sagas have been injurious to the country.

Strategic Thinkers Network (STRANEK) deem it fit to indicate that the cocaine saga must be tackled in a bit non-partisan manner and we must see results this time. Otherwise, we at STRANEK will not let the matter go. A cogent logical conclusion must be reached at all cost.

Cogent logical conclusion from the Narcotics Control Board (NACOB), Bureau of National Investigations (BNI), US Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and probably Suriname devoid of political influence will be convincing enough so far as the cocaine saga is concerned.

We hope action will be expedited to send a signal as a country about our die-hard interest in fighting drug-trafficking.

We are all involved in building our motherland Ghana.

Signed.
