Mikel Arteta, Arsenal’s manager, stormed out of an interview following his team’s 1-1 draw against Manchester United on Sunday, after being asked about their chances in the Premier League title race.

The Gunners now trail Liverpool by 15 points, though they have a game in hand. Their lackluster performance saw them lucky to come away with even a point.

In the post-match interview with Sky Sports, Arteta was asked about Arsenal’s struggles to score and whether he regretted not signing a striker.

He quickly dismissed the question, stating, “It’s not about that,” before starting to walk away from the interview.

Reporter Patrick Davison tried to ask one more question about the 15-point gap in the title race, but Arteta, visibly agitated, snapped, “No,” and continued walking off, saying “thanks” as he left.

Later, in his post-match press conference, Arteta was asked again about the title race. This time, he was more prepared to address the topic, although he remained cautious in his response.

“I don’t want to say [it’s over], but the frustration today is that we didn’t win the game. We know the urgency and the need to win every match,” he said. “I don’t think now is the right time to talk about that.”

While the gap between Arsenal and the top seems increasingly difficult to bridge, Arteta’s priority remains on immediate results, with the pressure to win every match becoming more intense.
