President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has appointed the Secretary-General of the Ports Management Association of West and Central Africa (PMAWCA), Michael Achgwe Luguje, to take over the management of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA).

He takes over from Paul Asare Ansah, who was relieved from the post on June 6, 2018.

The Minister of Transport Kweku Ofori Asiamah on Tuesday afternoon formerly introduced the newly appointed Director General of the Ghana Ports and Harbors Authority to senior management of the port and the media.

The minister noted that the Director-General was appointed upon a careful consideration by the president and he is therefore optimistic that with his rich experience the new Director-General will deliver in line with the president’s vision.
