Over the weekend on Newsfile, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako made some serious revelations about the alleged coup plot that has become a matter of public ridicule in a desperate attempt to give the supposed coup story which Ghanaians have rejected some life.

The short video of Kweku Baako claiming that these coup plotters had even planned to kidnap the President of the Republic as part of their plans to take over this Country started going viral on social media.

When I saw the viral video, I went back to watch the entire discussion on Newsfile again and I was shocked when i saw Abdul Malik Kweku Baako claiming that he had watched video footage, listened to tapes and phone conversation recordings for the over 15 months period of the activities of these coup plotters.

First of all, I would like to ask, since these video footages, phone recordings and the other tapes are matters of National Security, in what capacity was Kweku Baako called to view the said evidence?
(As a government propagandist?)

Secondly, why would National Security officials exclusively show those footages only to Kweku Baako, especially when the case is being prosecuted in Court. For what purpose?

Finally and here is the funny part, when did the coup story break?
So how long did Abdul Malik Kweku Baako take to watch and listen to the over 15 months worth of recordings to predetermine a matter as grave as a coup plot?
But boom Kweku Baako springs from nowhere all of a sudden and claims (the Special He) has watched and listened to evidence of the alleged coup plot and that the people wanted to kidnap a sitting President? Or is ghost of the 3 kidnapped Takoradi girls haunting them?

These are the mischiefs and lies of Kweku Baako that I have always been talking about, But quite frankly I have never taken Kweku Baako for his words, especially when he speaks to evidence which only he claims to have seen.

It is this same Kweku Baako that 14 years ago, during the Kuffuor Administration, who came out strongly to propagate the alleged Gbevlo Lartey coup story.
In his usual boastfulness, he claimed to have documentary evidence detailing how the coup was planned and how it was going to be executed and all that.
It later turned out that the whole coup story was nothing but a big hoax!

Today he is here again, claiming he has seen footages, listened to telephone conversations etc, in what capacity he cannot tell us, where are the said evidences he cannot produce them to back his claim and here we are circulating his empty propaganda.

And you see from the look of things I won’t be surprised if in a few days Abdul Malik Kweku Baako comes back with some concocted names of some “top NDC officials” as the people behind this coup plot against President Akufo Addo. (that is his stock in trade)

You can mark it down somewhere and quote me when it happens.
I call on the leadership of the country’s opposition especially the NDC to be on their guard. There is something sinister on the prowl and last Saturday on Newsfile,
Abdul Malik Kweku Baako gave a hint on what the NDC and its leaders should expect soon- a fresh smear campaign on the back of the so called coup plot.
