In a significant step towards improving the lives of residents in Shukura, a suburb of Accra, the Member of Parliament for Ablekuma Central constituency, Hon. Abdul Latif Dan, commissioned a crucial water project on January 16, 2024.
The ceremony which took place at the Ansarudeen Islamic School brought together important personalities such as the esteemed Grand Khalifa Sheikh Yahayal Amin, the Country Director of the Qatar Charity Foundation, Hassan Owda, various traditional chiefs, NDC Constituency Chairman, Secretary, and Organiser among others.
Commissioning the project, Chairman of the occasion Hon. Gambo Wangabi emphasized its significance to the community. He advised the people of Shukura to make optimal use of this valuable resource and urged them to take responsibility for its maintenance.
The event featured addresses from notable figures, including the MP and the Country Director of Qatar Charity Foundation, shedding light on the collaborative efforts that led to the realization of the water project.
The project aims to make life easier for over 3000 people by providing daily access to water for the Ansarudeen Islamic School and the surrounding community.
