Victor Abbey-Hart is born Ghanaian Fashion Designer who is gradually sparking the industry with his innovative collections. He holds a Degree in Sculpture and Painting from the University of Education, Winneba.
His unending passion for fashion forced him to pursue fashion as a career alongside the sculpture. He enrolled online school to equipped more knowledge about fashion.
The Brand: Gavachy
The name Gavachy as his brand name because he produce local product to suit a desire which attracts every individual besides it doesn’t exist anywhere which is very unique.
Challenges
As an upcoming designer, people didn’t understand his brand especially the name since he is a sculpture& painting student.People identified him as a musician despite these challenges for accepting and understanding the brand.
His first collection was “Dipo” which was design with the Kent cloth… Dipo is also a culture for the Krobos but he was inspired with a designed made for a known personality to create more designs out of.
His first runway event was Pearl Amoah Fashion Show which paved the way to exhibit on other platforms in 2016.
He uses Bogoland Fabric from Woodin, to him fashion is all about a story for every design and let it reflect in whatever you do
African has made fashion as a cloth but he blends the sculpture & fashion to make perfect designs.
Victor Abbey-Hart known as Gavachy is a participating designer in the African twins Fashion week organized by JadEvents.
Gavachy will be representing also at the main African Twins Fashion Festival in September, 2016.
