Nyame Somafo Yaw who is the leader and founder of Asomdwoe Ntonton Som has revealed that he is the spiritual godfather of most politicians in Ghana and in view of that his temple has not had any problem with government agencies.

Our portal gathered that his religious teachings combine both Christian and Islamic doctrines and therefore qualifies his outlet as a religion on its own.

Speaking to Cape Coast’s finest radio personality, Amansan Krakye in an exclusive interview at Gomoa Ankamu closer to Apam Junction, Nyame Somafo Yaw said he usually supports those who want to assume leadership positions spiritually.

He revealed “This is a religion, not a church, it is similar to what we have in Israel and Mecca. Since I started this religion of peace and exaltation I have not faced any problems.

“This is because I know what I’m supposed to do so I have already registered this religion some years ago. When it comes to government officials and politicians they often come here and it’s not only them but most prominent people in society also come to me for spiritual backing.

“The religion is getting bigger and better because I started with 50 people and now the members are about 11,000. We usually meet once in four months so we do our convention three times a year.

“After every convention, you’ll realize that the number of people increases in the next one so I can say that we’ve not had any obstacles since we started”.
