The Business Manager of Darling 90.9 FM, Mr. James Kojo Kutin popularly known as Jimmy Kutin has been adjudged the 2020 Faculty of Excellence Best Lecturer of the Year in Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration-GIMPA, Takoradi Campus out of the top three lecturers nominated for the honour.
The ‘GIMPA Excellence Dinner held over the weekend at the plush Rainbow Hotel was graced by some dignitaries, including Hon. Kobby Okyere Darko (Western Regional Minister) , Prof. Martin Morgan Tuuli (Deputy Rector of Gimpa), Okatakyie Amankwaa Afrifa (Regional Director of National Service Scheme), Mr. Holy Kportorbi (Campus Manager- Gimpa Tokoradi) and representatives from the Western Naval Command, GNPC and many more.
The Prestigious Excellence Award which was launched two years ago is aimed at celebrating exceptional teaching and community service within the academic year.
On winning the award, James Kutin expressed his profound gratitude to the management, faculty and students for the honour done him and professed to work even harder to ensure the success of the Campus and GIMPA as a whole.

Teaching career
James Kojo Kuttin currently teaches a Liberal course at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (Gimpa) Takoradi Campus.
He started his teaching career at Gimpa in 2014 after acquiring his Master’s degree in education at the University of Cape Coast.
Education
Mr Kojo Kutin had his basic education at the University Primary and Jss school in Cape Coast.
He attained his second cycle education at Mfantsipim Secondary School in Cape Coast from 1999 to 2001
Mr. Kutin was admitted to the University of Cape Coast in 2003 and graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in African Studies.
Later in 2010, Mr. Kutin gained a double Masters degree – Master of Education (M.Ed) degree at the University of Cape Coast and Masters in
African Studies (History, and Politics and Development) at the Institute of African Studies (IAS) of the University of Ghana, Legon.
