District Chief Executive (DCE) for Afadzato South, Hon. Manfred Tawiah, has reaffirmed his commitment to community-driven development initiatives during a series of Easter celebrations held across the district.

The events, which brought together residents from various communities, served as a platform not only for celebration but also for fundraising toward essential projects.

These include the construction of school buildings, community centres, improved street lighting, and road infrastructure. These are critical needs that will directly impact the lives of constituents.

Speaking at the events, Hon. Tawiah commended the spirit of unity and self-help demonstrated by the people. “It’s heartwarming to see our communities taking the lead in their own development. This spirit of collective action is what drives real, lasting change,” he said.

Leveraging his mandate under the Local Government Act, 2016 (Act 936), the DCE used the opportunity to advance key developmental priorities. He assured residents of the District Assembly’s full backing for all ongoing and future self-help projects.

“Our work is guided by a clear vision to make Afadzato South a model of sustainable development and a first-class district assembly in Ghana,” Hon. Tawiah declared.

He also connected the district’s development efforts with President John Mahama’s “Reset Ghana” agenda, which emphasizes economic recovery, social inclusion, and empowerment through community-level initiatives.

“From every school block built to every kilometre of road improved, we are making progress toward a stronger, more resilient district,” he noted.

Hon. Tawiah concluded with a strong message of collaboration: “I am committed to working hand in hand with every community. Together, we will achieve a prosperous future for Afadzato South.”
