King Paluta’s manager, Cofy Dela, has dismissed claims that the rapper is an underdog in this year’s Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) Artiste of the Year race.
Citing the release of three hit songs, ‘Makoma,’ ‘Aseda,’ and ‘For the Papping (Apicki)’, Cofy argued that King Paluta’s achievements rival those of the other contenders.
“He’s not just in the conversation, he should be leading it. His songs dominated airwaves and energized political rallies across the country,” he stated.
Cofy emphasized that Paluta’s local impact has been unmatched and questioned why the debate has shifted toward international exposure and superficial factors like appearance.
“The metrics are clear. Influence, consistency, and hit records, King Paluta checks all the boxes,” he added.
Reflecting on his journey with the artist, Cofy said Paluta’s drive, vision, and discipline inspired him to take on a management role.
“He represents dedication and resilience. I believe in his potential and what he stands for,” he noted.
