Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemanga, running mate to the flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress has this morning visited circle to solidarize with victims of the Wednesday dawn fire outbreak at the Odawna market also called the pedestrians’ mall.
She spoke to some of the victims and pleaded for assistance with the restoration and rehabilitation process of the incident.
She took to her social media page on Facebook and wrote ” I was at the Odawna market this morning to express my empathy and solidarity with our hardworking entrepreneurs and traders whose wares and stalls were lost to ravaging fire at dawn.
Listening to their harrowing stories and seeing at first-hand the full extent of damage made for a sad experience, but in all, we are grateful to God that no lives were lost.
I hope we shall all be there for our compatriots to assist with the restoration and rehabilitation process.”
However, the Ghana National service has so far been able to bring the situation under control, notwithstanding their initial challenge of getting access to the market.
