John Dramani Mahama with the elder brother of the Vice President, Chief Duada Mandiaya Bawumia

Former President John Dramani Mahama on Sunday, January 28, 2018 visited Chief Dauda Mandiaya Bawumia, Former Ghana’s Ambassador to Burkina Faso and elder brother of Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia at his Lapaz residence in Accra.

It is gathered that Chief Bawumia has been indisposed for over a year [ads1]now but the former President took time off his busy schedule to pay him a visit on Sunday

The former President donated an undisclosed sum of money to Chief Bawumia to support his medical bills when he starts receiving treatment and also requested that an intercessional prayer to be organized to expedite Chief Bawumia’s recovery and seek Allah’s mercy on him.

John Mahama finally prayed for him and wished him God’s intervention in his healing process.

It comes at a time Dr Bawumia himself is outside the country on a sick leave after he took ill on Friday, January 19, 2018.

Government through the Chief of Staff Frema Abena Opare issued a statement indicating that the Vice president had been flown to UK for treatment and also takes some time off his busy schedule to rest.
