President John Dramani Mahama has ordered the immediate reversal of all land allocations and sales made by the previous Akufo-Addo government regarding properties belonging to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

This includes land near the Airport Residential Area, which had been allocated to seven individuals and organizations. The decision, announced on March 4, 2025, is aimed at reclaiming and preserving the land for the state.

Foreign Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa shared the news on his social media on March 5, expressing his gratitude to President Mahama for his prompt and strong action in safeguarding public assets. Ablakwa assured that under his leadership, no Ministry land or property, either in Ghana or abroad, will be sold.

He also emphasized that the era of “State Capture” has come to an end, reaffirming his commitment to keeping government property in public hands.
