Tarkwa will today, Saturday, November 25 host former President John Mahama and others stalwarts the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) at the party’s 4th edition of its Unity Walk campaign which was originally scheduled for on November 11.
This is following weeks after the NDC ended its third Unity Walk in Cape [ads1]Coast in the Central Region. The party is not relenting its effort in re-organizing its grassroots after the humiliating defeat at the polls last year.
The Unity Walk is seen as a measure to bring together the rank and file of the party and their supporters in order to heal the wounds suffered as a result of the 2016 General Elections defeat and prepare adequately for the next General Election in 2020.
The statement signed by the party’s Director of Communications in the Western Region Mr. Richard Kirk-Mensah. The Special Guest is former president, John Mahama. Among his entourage are the NDC Western Regional Accra Caucus, National Executives, former government appointees from the region, Regional and Constituency Executives from Shama to Bia West are expected to grace the occasion.
Meanwhile, TEIN Chapter of the University of Mines and Technology (UMAT) Tarkwa addressed a Special Akwaaba Forum yesterday on the theme “The Role of Ghanaian Youth in Political Decision Making”.
