Mahama marks 120 days in office with update on NDC Manifesto promises

President John Dramani Mahama is set to address the nation today, May 7, marking 120 days since his inauguration on January 7.

During this period, his administration has been working tirelessly to fulfill key promises outlined in the 2024 NDC Manifesto.

Out of 28 pledges, 19 have been successfully delivered, with two currently in progress and seven remaining outstanding.

Some of the outstanding promises yet to be fulfilled include reviewing taxes on vehicles, implementing the 24-hour economy policy, banning illegal mining, reviewing the Customs Amendment Act of 2020, and introducing a bill to streamline government scholarship awards.

Additionally, investigations into state security agencies’ vigilante elements and by-election killings are still pending.

Dr. Rashid Tanko-Computer, Deputy Director of Elections and IT for the NDC, expressed satisfaction with the administration’s performance, stating,

“Ghanaians are applauding him for having delivered almost all the promises he made.” He added, “By the close of Wednesday, we will have delivered all of them.” Tanko-Computer emphasized that Ghanaians are experiencing the promises firsthand, saying,

“Ghanaians are enjoying the promises. We don’t even need to trumpet it ourselves because you can see some promises in action.”
