The campaign team member for the flagbearer hopeful, Mr. Kennedy Agyapong of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Samuel Duah, has chosen former president John Dramani Mahama over Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in terms of who will be better at the helm of the office of the highest throne of the land.

According to him, delegates to Dr. Bawumia on November 4, when the party will elect its 2024 presidential candidate to lead the NPP to break the 8-year jinx of election 2024, will be making a political mistake.

He claimed that Ghana’s current economic crisis, exemplified by the extreme untold hardships faced by Ghanaians, is the result of mismanagement by the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia-led administration, and asked why delegates should vote for Dr. Mahamudu.

“John Mahama is better than Bawumia,” Samuel Duah stressed.

Mr. Duah gave this verdict on “Dwaboase “on TV XYZ on Thursday, October 5, while discussing current economic challenges and the management prowess of the incumbent and the past government led by H.E. Joh Mahama.

He added that the NPP will lose the 2024 polls if delegates refute giving Kennedy Agyapong the nod to lead the party.

“Dr. Bawumia is part of Akufo-Addo’s government that has birthed the country with untold economic hardship; why vote for him to lead the NPP?” he insisted.

The flabearers of the NDC, H.E. John Mahama and Dr. Bawumia, are the likely candidates to lock horns in the 2024 general elections.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP), which will elect its flagbearer on November 4, has the Vice President getting wide support from the rank and file of the NPP.

The 2024 elections will, therefore, likely pit the two political giants against each other.
