Information reaching Awake News alleged that the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) National Youth Organizers who has declared his intention to contest as the Member of Parliament for Madina Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Alhaji Siddi Abubara has threatened one branch executive member of the party who is a [ads1]known John Mahama boy in the constituency over Awake News’ publication on sighting NDC 2016 paraphernalia.
According to sources, after Awake News broke the story showing pictures of some 2016 NDC paraphernalia kept in his Emmanuel Villa Residence which are allegedly meant for distribution to Madina branch and constituency executives ahead of the party’s 2019 parliamentary primaries, some branch executives have not been at peace.
The source said, the failed National Youth Organizer of the NDC who is hardly known by the party faithfuls has threatened a young man upon suspicion that he may have taken those pictures when he visited him some weeks ago. Indications are that he took the photos of the items and leaked it to Awake News.
Allegations have it that Alhaji Abubakar Siddi who has just returned from a trip to China has called and issued serious threats at the young man over the development.
Awake News, have been making efforts to speak to the young man with calls and WhatsApp messages to ascertain the validity of the allegation of threat on his life by Alhaji Siddi but has not been successful and eventually blocked Awake News’ Editor, Efo Korsi Senyo on WhatsApp.
In the latest development, the young man has exited various Madina NDC WhatsApp platforms after announcing his pull out of Madina NDC Politics.
“It is with sad and heavy heart I have to inform everyone in madina that I am completely out of madina politics. I love my life and that of family. I respect everyone in this constituency and I want to remain neutral in all matters. Many thanks for love and support you have all shown me so far. Recent developments within the constituency made me to give way for peace to prevail. I am sorry for the disappointments, troubles and hurts I have caused so many of you. To err is human but to forgive is divine. Bless you” – Awake News has sighted write-up emanating from his phone number.
The young man is said to be one of the strong supporters of the former President, John Dramani Mahama who worked selflessly for the second term of the NDC that saw Mahama elected as President.
According to NDC activists within the constituency and beyond, he is still one of the strong men on the ground working hard for the return of John Mahama in 2020.
“This threat on his life is likely to affect his works for the party in the constituency and will not auger well for the party as a whole” – A member of the NDC in Madina told Awake News
