Manchester United drew 2-2 with Lyon in a dramatic Europa League clash in France. Despite taking a late lead through Joshua Zirkzee in the 88th minute, United were denied victory by Rayan Cherki’s equaliser moments later.
Thiago Almada had given Lyon the lead earlier with a fortunate free-kick, before Leny Yoro headed in a first-half equaliser for United.
The second half saw missed opportunities on both sides, with Lyon wasteful in front of goal and United twice going close before finally taking the lead.
Andre Onana came under renewed scrutiny following another costly error, adding to mounting pressure after criticism from former United player Nemanja Matic.
Despite the draw, United remain unbeaten in the Europa League this season, with head coach Ruben Amorim sticking with an unchanged XI for the first time. The game also saw the return of Kobbie Mainoo and a milestone goal for young defender Yoro.
