News of the death of the boy came days after the accident amidst accusations that the actor neglected the boy. In a statement, Wezzy Empire said Lil Win and the team were unaware of the boy’s condition and were only informed later.

As a result, the movie premiere in Sunyani has subsequently been called off in memory of the boy, Nana Yaw. The statement announcing the postponement of the movie premiere said it was to allow them to join Nana Yaw’s family in mourning his death.

Meanwhile, the father of the 3-year-old Jacob Kofi Amponsah who also suffered from the accident is still recovering. The Wezzy Empire statement wished him a speedy recovery. It added that Lil Win and his manager Ray Moni are still receiving treatment at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.

Further, the statement assured patrons of the movie that the tickets remain valid and can be redeemed later.

POSTPONEMENT OF PREMIERE OF “A COUNTRY CALLED GHANA” MOVIE IN SUNYANI

The management of Wezzy Empire regretfully announce the postponement of the premiere of its movie “A Country Called Ghana,” initially scheduled to be screened in Sunyani on Saturday, June 1, 2024. This difficult decision was made in respect of the memory of the three-year-old boy, Nana Yaw, who unfortunately lost his life in a tragic accident involving our Chief Executive Officer, Kwadwo Nkansah “Lil Win,” last Saturday and to join the family in mourning their loss.

The CEO and management extend their sincere condolences to the bereaved family and wish a speedy recovery to the father, Mr. Jacob Kofi Amponsah.

We also understand that our previous communication may have been perceived as insensitive, and we apologize for any unintended distress caused. As Lil Win and our artist manager, Ray Moni, continue to receive treatment at the Accident Emergency Unit of Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, our thoughts are with them for a speedy recovery.

We assure fans who have procured tickets that their tickets remain valid and can be used at a later date to be communicated.

The Wezzy Empire team and the event planner will announce a new date in due course.

We appreciate the love shown to our artist in these trying times and wish to apologize for any inconvenience the changes may bring.
