Liberia’s peace and human rights advocate, Ms. Gwendolyn Myers has been listed among Top 10 Outstanding Young African Change Makers in the year of 2017 by the Youth Hub Africa in its 2018 Internation Youth Day rating.

Still in the spirit of the International Youth Day, Youth Hub Aafrica is celebrating 10 Young Africans pushing the frontiers of change in Africa, The top 10 Young Changemakers are blazing the trail.. Passionate about mobilizing youths for peace and compassionate about human rights and sustainable peace, Gwendolyn Myers from Liberia is one of the top 10 outstanding Young African Change Makers featured for IYD2018 by Youth Hub Africa.
It would be recalled that barely four months ago (April, 2018) Ms. Myers was recognized and featured as one of the six worthy Africa’s Young Achievers by Africa Renewal published by the UN Department of Public Information, New York.
Ms. Myers who is currently on a one-week working visit to the Africa Centre for Peace Building in Accra – Ghana, the peace advocate told Awake News, she sees the recognition as by the Youth Hub Africa as an additional call to the service of the African Youth and a great inspiration to the Liberia youth.
Touching on her visit to the Africa Centre for Peace Building, she said “I think young people in Africa must explore more ways of collation in the social and business sector. About three months ago, I met the Executive Director of the Centre, Mr. Korsi Senyo in Dar es Salaam in Tanzania where we discussed possible ways of partnership and human resource exchange so I am here with one of my staffs on that mission”.
Ms. Myers is the Founder and Executive Director of Messengers of Peace-Liberia and a global peace and rights advocate.
