Former Parliamentary aspirant for Mfantseman Constituency on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Michael Donatus Turkson, has thrown his unflinching support behind Dr. Ebenezer Prince Kojo Arhin, the NDC Parliamentary Candidate Aspirant for the area ahead of the 2024 general elections.
According to him, it is paramount to prioritise the party’s interests above all. He said the NDC cannot compromise its internal unity if it desires to win back the Mfantseman seat.
Speaking to this portal, Mr Turkson emphasised the importance of unity within the party towards Victory 2024.
“As the chairman for the Anomabo wards campaign launch, I stated unequivocally that as parliamentary primaries are over, it is only important to work in the interest of the party and seeing that we triumph over this nebulous and incompetent NPP government.”
Mr Turkson encouraged his supporters, executives and all former aspirants to set aside personal interests and focus on working together to reclaim the Mfantseman seat for the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
“I have indicated that it lies in the interest of the people of Mfantseman to go back to their first love which is the NDC.”
“The new face of the NDC leadership in Mfantseman in the person of Dr Arhin promises stability and development through implantation of the JESH agenda. A challenge is thrown to him, Dr Arhin to deliver and renew hope to the people of Mfantseman,” Mr. Turkson stated
He explained that “It would be injurious and unpalatable to fold arms, sit aloof and watch NPP claim the ownership of the Mfantseman Seat.”
Mr Turkson expressed gratitude to his supporters for their unwavering loyalty and assistance throughout the primaries, despite the outcome not being in his favour.
He stressed the need for unity and solidarity within the party, emphasising that working together is essential for achieving their goals in the upcoming elections.
He assured his supporters that he remains committed to serving the party’s interests and working tirelessly to ensure victory for the NDC and Dr. Arhin in the Mfantseman Constituency.
