A MESSAGE OF CONDOLENCE TO BEREAVED FAMILIES OF TODAY’S ACCIDENTS

With a heavy heart, I extend my sincerest condolences to the bereaved families of our compatriots lost in the unfortunate accidents recorded across the various parts of the country.

It is a sad event to wake up to these devastating news of huge number of people perished in these horrific accidents making the news both locally and internationally.

As a nation, this opens up a massive call for us to consider our road safety campaign and conducts of drivers and vehicle users on our roads.

For a nation to wake up to the total wipe out of about 70 lives on a single day through accidents, puts us in danger of what misconduct and irregulaties on our roads can do to us.

Consistently, over the years, we have been hit with various reports of accidents on our roads, but the records being accounted for today, makes it more horrific for us as a country.

I wish to call on all road actors from government, through road safety and down to our drivers and road users, to observe at all times, road regulations in order to avoid the record of devastating news of this nature that throw nations into chaos and mourning.

My deepest condolences to the bereaved families as we mourn as a nation, and to the departed souls of these unfortunate accidents, may God comfort them in His kingdom.
