[dropcap]A[/dropcap]ward winning model and student journalist, Laura Millis has been nominated for Model of the Year award category of the All Ghana Universities Entertainment Awards.

[ads1]The YoHRA-GIJ  Chapter president and Human Rights Ambassador was last year, November adjourned the Student Model of the Year at the 2017 GIJ Eminence Awards organized by RAD Africa.

Laura has been featured in top shows including Ghana Fashion Awards, Rep The Runway Fashion Show, A Walk Down The AISLE, African Make-up & Beauty Fair, Selewa African Market Fashion, Swish Girlys Hair Show, Pent Hall Week Fashion Show, Jayray Fashion Show.

Others include CFO Awards, Movenpick Hotel (Ushering), Chris’ Challenge Launch (Ushering), Economic Outlook & Business Summit (Ushering), Akwaboah Unpluged (Ushering).

The award is scheduled for April 2018. Speaking to Awake ShowBiz, Laura Mills said she is very grateful for the confidence her fans have in her which is why they continue to appreciate and motivate her through award nominations and votings.

She also used the opportunity to appeal to her fans to vote for her when the award voting platform is activated. 

Aside, the showbiz industry, Laura has a great passion for social work and has through her Laura Mills Initiatives donated some assorted goods worth thousands of cedis to the children’s home, Potters’ Village at Dodowa as part of activities to mark her birthday, December 20.

Items she donated include bags of rice, cooking oil, assorted drinks, clothes, soaps, toiletries and many more.

Speaking to the media after the donation, Ms. Laura Mills said “As part of making this world a better place for us all to live and be happy, I chose to donate to the orphanage home in regards to their countless plea to the general public for support”

“As a way to contribute my quota to my brothers and sisters out there, I came up with the Touch A Life Project to execute that.” – she added
