Award winning model and student journalist, Laura Millis has through her The Laura Mills Initiatives donated some assorted goods worth thousands of cedis to the children’s home, Potters’ Village at Dodowa as part of activities to mark her birthday, December 20.
Items donated included bags of rice, cooking oil, assorted drinks, [ads1]clothes, soaps, toiletries and many more.
Speaking to the media after the donation, Ms. Laura Mills said “As part of making this world a better place for us all to live and be happy, I chose to donate to the orphanage home in regards to their countless plea to the general public for support”
“As a way to contribute my quota to my brothers and sisters out there, I came up with the Touch A Life Project to execute that.” – she added
The YoHRA Ambassador and President of YoHRA GIJ noted that “Generally, I think the home has done a lot of good for these children considering its records since its operation and I’m thankful to Auntie Jane Adu for her endless love and support towards the children.”
Receiving the items on behalf of the children, Aunty Beatrice showed gratitude to The Laura Mills Initiative and asked for God’s blessings on all who made the donation possible.
The Potter’s Village is children’s home was founded by Mrs. Janet Adu through a calling from God. The Children’s home has been operating for over 20years now and they have been recognized by International bodies who donate regularly to the home.
