The Krachi East Municipal Police Commander, DSP Lawson Kwaku Amegbor a.k.a. Amenorvi has gone on retirement.

DSP Amegbor, joined police service thirty seven (37) years ago and assumed duty in the Krachi East on 6th July, 2014 as the District Commander taking over from Superintendent Jordan Quaye.

[ads1](RTD) Lawson Kwaku Amegbor’s send off party was held last Thursday 23rd November, 2017 at the forecourt of the District Police Headquarters, Dambai.

In his address, he highlighted some of the issues he handle with diligence, diplomacy and tactfulness including
Pilfering and petty thievery issues; Fulani herdsmen and food crop farmers conflict; numerous protracted chieftaincy and land litigation conflicts at Dormabin, Tokuroano and Katanga; Personnel disciplinary maters; Devising workable strategies to deal with the huge deficit in personnel strength (under staffing issues).

He also noted the challenge that came with making the best out of the over – aged and very weak duty vehicle which the Assembly assisted by procuring four (4) new tyres recently.

Outlining his acheivement futher, DSP Amegbor recalled how he put effective strategies in place to ward-off any attempted highway robbery, and thus make the District’s road network incident – free for the business and the travelling.

The occasion brought together the chiefs and people in the District, the District Assembly staff and other Departmental heads, security agencies in the District, leaders and supporters of the various political parties and Assembly members.

Amenorvi (people’s brother), therefore, remind and appealed to the District Assembly to renovate the dilapidated office accommodation and repair the broken down mechanized water system which serve the station.

He appreciate the support of the chiefs, the Honourable District Chief Executive, the clergy, political leaders, his superiors and subordinates for their guidance and support, not forgotten his wife Mrs Joyce Amegbor whom he had four (4) children with.

“I adore and cherish you, and you are indeed a true and genuine partner. For without your support, how can I bring up all our children as well as support the external family? I love you” – Amenorvi told his wife.

He added “I know I will miss you all and you will miss me too but I will not shed tears, but if I should, it must be tears of joy and gratitude to God for how far he has brought me”.
