[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), in partnership with the Technical University of Munich, has constructed a solar-powered 4×4 vehicle.
The environmentally-friendly vehicle, meant to carry passengers and goods, was inaugurated by the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Chancellor of the University at the 51st congregation of the KNUST, [ads1]Kumasi, on Saturday.
This is coming barely 48hurs when All Nations University College in Koforidua last Friday July 7, 2017 launched Ghana’s first satellite dubbed Ghansat-1 into the International Space Station (ISS) by SpaceX, Flight 11 from Kennedy Space Center in Florida-USA on June 10, 2017 and was released and deployed into the orbit at an altitude of 420km today, Friday July 7, 2017 at noon.
KNUST, a technological and science bias university has over the years been receiving a lot of criticism from the public for not leading invention revolutions that will help transform Ghana’s economy.
Many of the university’s professors and doctorate degree holders have equally received their fare share of the criticism as Apostle Kwadzo Sarfo who has no university education was able to invent and or assemble many electronic devices, machines and cars.
