The dates 30th April-6th May 2018 will definitely go down the annals of history as a time arrested to serve the purpose of giving practical vent to at least four exclusive scriptures in the Holy Book.
The four(4) scriptures which formed the pivot upon which an average of thirty(30) community children from the Odorkor(Official Town)/ Darkuman environs were subjected to the glorious [ads1]spritual experience of fasting for a week were 2chronicles 7: 14, Mathew 7:7-9, Isaiah40: 28-31 and Mathew 19:14.
Prior to the experience, the anxiety and fear was almost deafening; but, by grace the journey once started kept growing in momentum with spectacular refreshing moments which could hardly be captured by words and images. Gracefully, the week-long journey ended with all participants basking in the grace and goodness of Heaven. In seeking the impact of project on participants, the response of Kwame (a teen participant) seemed to resonate with the larger population. Kwame said “I feel not only strengthened to pursue a more serious walk with God, but also, I feel more committed to a lifestyle that positively promotes the general good of family, school & community values”. He concludes, “I feel like an empowered citizen with lots to offer”.
This is testimony to impact of the 7-day long experience. A million thanks to all volunteers, facilitators for the sessions. Each session was remarkable and memorable. Special thanks to Rev.
