Ghanaian afrobeats star Dennis Nana Dwamena, popularly known as KiDi, has stirred conversation with his candid views on body count and relationships.

In a recent episode of Rants, Bants and Confessions, the ‘Lomo Lomo’ hitmaker made it clear that a partner’s body count doesn’t concern him if it’s just a casual fling. However, when it comes to a serious relationship, his stance shifts significantly.

“If we’re just having fun, I don’t care,” KiDi explained. “But if you’re someone I want to call mine, it matters.”

He stressed that he wouldn’t be comfortable committing to someone who has “given out her body and soul to too many people.”

“I don’t want to walk into a room and see guys eyeing each other because they’ve all had something with my woman,” he said. “When I meet you, I want to meet the full version of you, not what’s left after sharing yourself emotionally and physically with many others.”

KiDi elaborated that past relationships leave emotional footprints. “Each person takes a part of you, lessons, emotions, energy, so by the time I come in, what’s left for me?”

His remarks have sparked debate, with many weighing in on the balance between personal history, emotional baggage, and double standards in modern relationships.
