Kekeli School Complex, Aflao in the Volta Region has won the maiden Inter-School Quiz Competition organized by Vim Nation Entertainment in collaboration with the Ketu South Municipal Education Directorate.
[ads1]The quiz was organized for all schools within the Ketu Municipality in the areas of English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science and Social Studies.
A journey that started from the 22nd of January to the 3rd of February, 2018.
According to Mr. Ahiakonu Lord, a teacher of the Kekeli School who spoke to Awake News said the victory of the school was possible because the students were assiduously prepared by himself, Mr. Innocent Agblevor – the JHS Headmaster, Mr. Amuzu Dornne the JHS Assistant Headmaster, Mr. David Tamakloe – the Headmaster of the Primary Department, Mr. Kobbah Matthew, a teacher amongst others.
He explained that about 26 schools were selected and put in groups where Kekeli School Complex found itself in group A with Amalgamated R.C School, Central Lyceum and Avoeme Basic School.
In Group A, Kekeli and Central Lyceum qualified for the 16th round with the first position followed by Freedom International School.
Kekeli School qualified for the quarter and semi-finals with A.M.E Zion Basic School from Denu, Aflao Boarder Basic School, and Kpoglu Basic School. In this group, Kekeli still took the first position followed by Kpoglu Basic School.
The Finals was set for the 3rd of February, 2018 for Kpoglu Basic School, New Happy Home International and El-Shadai Basic School from Agbozume and Kekeli School Complex to battle for the ultimate prize.
After the final rounds, Kekeli School Complex had 76.5%, El-Shadai – 31%, New Happy Home – 21% and Kpoglu Basic with 16%.
Participating students were awarded medals and certificates whereas Kekeli School Complex been the winner went home with certificates and the ultimate prize [trophy].
In an interview with Awake News, the Proprietor of the school, Mr. Emmanuel Kwasi Mawuli, expressed his gratitude and appreciation of the Management Team, Staff, PTA Executives and that of parents to the Almighty God and the event organizers for giving the students this opportunity to exhibit their ‘can do’ spirit.
He further stated that Kekeli School Complex was always poised for action to achieving its vision of becoming the preferred centre for academic excellence for all students within the Ketu South Municipality and beyond.
With his last words “Kekeli – Arise and Shine, Kekeli – Simply the best.”
