A devastating road accident has claimed the life of Alex Dwamena, a 49-year-old driver with the Kwaebibirem Municipal Assembly in the Eastern Region.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, between Akyem Takyiman and Pramkese road, while Dwamena was driving back from official duties in Takyiman to Kade with four passengers.
According to eyewitnesses, the Nissan Pick Up with registration number GC 838-18 veered off the road, resulting in serious injuries to the four passengers.
Unfortunately, Dwamena succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead the following day, Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at the St Dominic’s Hospital in Akwatia.
Preliminary investigations suggest that speeding may have been a contributing factor to the accident.
However, the exact cause of the crash is still under investigation.
