Jude Okoye, former manager and elder brother of the iconic P-Square duo, has finally regained his freedom after spending more than two months in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
His release sparked joy among fans and family, especially his younger brother, Paul Okoye (Rudeboy), who celebrated the news on Instagram.
“Jude is finally out after 2 months+… all their efforts to frustrate his bail have finally collapsed. Welcome home, brother @judeengees. And happy birthday,” Rudeboy wrote.
While the message was joyful, it carried subtle tension, likely aimed at their estranged brother, Peter Okoye, suggesting unresolved family issues.
Jude’s freedom comes after a prolonged legal battle following his arraignment on money laundering charges involving $1 million, ₦1.38 billion, and €34,537.59.
Earlier, Justice Alexander Owoeye of a Lagos court granted him bail on the condition that he provide two sureties, each worth ₦100 million. The court also barred him from leaving the country.
Although Jude was briefly re-arrested after meeting bail terms, sources confirm that all conditions have now been satisfied, and he has returned home.
His release marks a major development in a high-profile case that has captured attention across Nigeria’s entertainment and legal spheres.
