A Ghanaian reporter collapsed earlier today while covering a protest organized by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Accra.
The demonstration was held to oppose the suspension of Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo by the ruling NDC government.
The incident occurred near the Ministry of Justice, where hundreds of NPP supporters had gathered in protest.
Eyewitnesses say the reporter suddenly fell unconscious while covering the event and was quickly assisted by fellow journalists and first responders.
The reporter’s identity and the media entity he works for are yet to be made clear.
The journalist was transported to a nearby hospital for immediate medical care. The exact cause of the collapse remains unknown.
