The presidency has moved swiftly to debunk rumors circulating in various media outlets that renowned Ghanaian actress, Joselyn Dumas, has been appointed as the Deputy Director of Diaspora Affairs at the Office of the President.
This development comes amidst a series of key appointments made by the Mahama administration in recent weeks.
According to reports, which first surfaced on March 2, 2025, Joselyn Dumas was said to have secured a position in President John Mahama’s administration.
However, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Minister of State in charge of Government Communications, categorically denied these claims.
In an interview with Joy FM, Kwakye Ofosu stated that while several creative arts personalities have indeed been appointed to government positions, Joselyn Dumas is not among them.
“Miss Dumas has not been appointed to any such position. I can confirm that of the rest,” he clarified, putting to rest speculation surrounding Joselyn Dumas’ rumored appointment to deputise to Kofi Okyere Darko who is the Director of Diaspora Affairs at the Office of the President.
