The Bono Regional Youth Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress NDC, Efo Worlanyo Tsekpo has called on members of the ruling New Patriotic Party who sang the 4More4Nana during the 2020 general elections yet are unable to even pay their rents to join tomorrow’s March for Justice.
His call is coming on the heels of revelations that President Akufo-Addo has approved of salary for the First Lady, Rebecca Akufo-Addo and Second Lady, Samira Bawumia.
In a statement posted on his Facebook page, the First Lady is to be paid GHc21,000 per month and back dated to 2017.
“Beautiful Rebecca will be paid, 21,000 per month and will be back dated from 2017 which will amount to 1,134,000.00 as back pay.
Bra 4more this amount excludes her allowances which totals 87,000 per month which will as well be backdated to 2017 which will give us 6,345,000.00 Ghana Cedis.”
For him, this happening at the time that many of the NPP’s followers just like other Ghanaians cannot afford a rent of 600ghc amount.
The National Democratic Congress will tomorrow embark on a demonstration dubbed, “March for Justice” which aims at drawing the attention of government to the killings and security issues of injustice being experience by Ghanaians since 2017.
Topical on the list are the murder of investigative journalist Ahmed Suale, social activist Ibrahim Mohamed, the two youth killed in Ejura during the demonstration demanding justice for Kaaka; killing of eight citizens during the election 2020, the violence at Ayawaso West Wuogon bye election amonth others.
