Former Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho, has criticized the party for failing to launch its manifesto before the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

He argued that a serious opposition party should not allow the ruling government to set the agenda by releasing its manifesto first.

In a social media post, Mr. Anyidoho asked “How does a serious opposition party allow the ruling government to release their manifesto first? John Mahama is not serious”.

The NDC is scheduled to launch its manifesto on August 24, 2024. However, the NPP unveiled its manifesto on August 18. At the launch, the party’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, reiterated his commitment to transforming Ghana into a digital hub by training one million Ghanaians in IT skills.

He outlined his vision for a digital Ghana, which, according to the Vice President, would enhance various sectors of the economy and create jobs for the youth.

Dr. Bawumia further assured an enhanced focus on TVET, OCT, and STEM education to prepare children for the fourth industrial revolution workplace.
