Lead Counsel for the 2020 general election petitioner, Tsatsu Tsikata has told the Supreme Court today that Jean Mensa cannot evade cross examination.

After today’s cross examination of Mr Robert Joseph Mettle-Nunoo, one of the representatives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Electoral Commission’s (EC) ‘strong room’, Lawyer for the EC Justine Amenevor prayed to the court that they will not mount the witness box to adduce more evidence or respond to the question of the petitioner, John Dramani Mahama and there’s enough evidence for the court to rule on after the cross examination of the petitioner witness.

Second respondent president Nana Akuffo Addo’s lawyer Akoto Ampaw has also pleaded that his witness Peter Mac Menu will not also mount the witness box for cross examination.

This sparked a heated debate between the petitioner’s counsel and the bence, however the court is adjourned to 9th February 2021 for debate as to whether the EC Boss Jean Mensa and Mac Menu will be crossed examined.
