Private legal practitioner Martin Kpebu has once again called for Cecilia Abena Dapaah, the former Minister of Sanitation, to clarify where the large sums of money found in her home came from.

Speaking on TV3’s Keypoints, Kpebu pointed out that the Office of the Special Prosecutor’s investigation shows Dapaah has yet to provide a valid explanation for the money’s origin.

Given her high-ranking government position, Kpebu argued it’s reasonable to suspect the funds might be public money unless proven otherwise. He emphasized that Dapaah must first answer where the money came from.

The mystery surrounding her unexplained wealth continues to spark public debate, with many demanding transparency.

In her court testimony regarding a theft case, Dapaah revealed that, along with the stolen cash, valuables like jewelry, clothes, and perfumes were also taken. She explained that $210,000, part of $800,000 entrusted to her for safekeeping after her brother’s death, was among the stolen items.
