Leo-Nelson Adzidogah, MCE for Akatsi South

The Municipal Chief Executive of Akatsi South, Mr. Leo-Nelson Adzidogah in the Volta Region has written a letter to President Akufo-Addo pleading with him to hastened investigations into the petition brought before him by some NPP executives in the Akatsi South Constituency against him.

In the letter dated January 14, 2021, the MCE said Patrick Agboyibor, Assistant Constituency Secretary, Kadzaku Mensah, Constituency Youth Organizer and Veronica Sakpaku, Constituency Women Organizer petitioned the President accusing him (the MCE) of smuggling subsidized fertilizers meant for Planting for Foods and Jobs into neighboring Togo; forming cabal with the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and also selling government contracts, protocols and scholarships to members of the opposition NDC at the neglect of members of the ruling New Patriotic Party in the constituency.

These allegations and the petition Mr. Adzidogah believed is a wicked agenda by the petitioners for the sole purposes of “destroying the positive gains we have made so far and which we are trying to consolidate”.

According to him, as the President prepares to renominate his representatives at the Municipal/District level, the results of the investigations into the allegations brought against him will help the President with some informed decisions.
