Bimbilla of late has being in the news for no reason than the protracted chieftaincy disputes between the families of the two faction Chiefs: Naa Andani and Naa Salifu which has claimed not less than 20 lives since 2014.
The latest is the incident which occurred on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 leading to the death of a lady and injuring [ads1]another.
There are investigations to arrest the perpetrators of this latest incident with the Member of Parliament for Bimbilla constituency who doubles also as the defense minister, Dominic Nitiwul pledging a sum of Ghc10,000 to anyone with information that will lead to the arrest of the killers.
Inside Story had it that some AK-47 Riffle gun cartridges were hidden in a bush to prevent the security from collecting them on a possible search and when the bush was set on fire those cartridges exploded given sounds of gun shots compelling the security agencies to rush there only to notice that and quenching the fire.
While they think that was all, a separate death was reported of a lady in her 40s with another young lady sustaining serious gunshot wounds on the shoulder arm in another house far from the previous incident of explosion.
Inside Story therefore has it that the killing in the house with another injury case was an accidental one from someone who thought there was conflict due to the explosive sounds and was prepared to defend himself in the house accidentally pressed a trigger of a gun suspected to be AK-47 Riffle killing the woman instantly and injuring the other.
As humans, it is good we tell the truth at times to tackle complicated issues and to possibly find a lasting solution to it.
The security should look at it from that angle to unravel the cause of the latest death.
