His Excellency, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has expressed his outmost surprised at the rate at which his birthday tweet to Shatta Wale went viral.
He expressed the shock during his speech at the at the opening of the National Cyber-Security Week, and the inauguration of the National Cyber-Security Inter-Ministerial Advisory Council, at the Accra [ads1]International Conference Centre, in Accra.

“I’m amazed that the smartphone that you and I have in our hands today, is far powerful than the computers that landed man on the moon. I am no less intrigued that I have over 400,000 friends and followers, and a recent tweet wishing Shatta Wale a happy birthday in pidgin will go viral,”
President Akufo-Addo has on October 17, 2017 tweeted in Pidgin English to wish Shatta Wale happy birthday and also invite him to the Flagstaff House.
His pidgin tweet actually went viral social media such that that, BBC even reported on it.
