Speaking to Awake News, Mr. Ahiagba further stated that “the argument of considering birth certificate and National passport as the basis of who qualifies to be a Ghanaian is ambiguous.”
[ads1]According to him, “the current statistics of the number of citizens who hold national passport and birth certificate is seven (7) million which is mutually exclusive. The population of Ghana is almost thirty 30 million, registering and providing Ghana card to only 7million population is denying the rest 23million the right to citizenship”.
The young National Democratic Congress (NDC) activist is with the view that “if the national voters identify card does not qualify one to be a citizen of Ghana, then it simply implies that the 2016 general elections results are null and void” as it is the same voter ID card that elected the current president of Ghana.
He said, “I am also sensing a mafian tactics to disenfranchised Ghanaian voters in the upcoming elections”.
