In response to recent allegations about government spending, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Minister of State in Charge of Government Communications, addressed concerns over the government’s budget allocations and staffing at the Office of the President.

Speaking on State of Affairs, he clarified that the increase in the National Security budget was directly linked to a rise in staffing numbers, which had expanded from 1,200 to 11,657.

Ofosu also accused some of the allocated funds of being misused for political propaganda rather than operational needs.

Furthermore, he dismissed accusations about his office’s financial management, labeling claims about extravagant spending as baseless and misleading.
