Former President John Dramani Mahama has reiterated his desire and plans to make Central region great again in his thank you message to the people.
President Mahama who started his campaign tour of the region on 14th October 2020 has today ended it and will be moving to the western region subsequently. He took to his Facebook handle to thank the region for their erupting welcome and support throughout his tour.
In the thank you message he emphatically said that the new NDC government will ensure the realisation of the great potential of the region. The central region is a region of tourism, agric, knowledge centre and industry, so he promised to take advantage of the comparative advantage of the region to make it great again.
He further added “thank you, they are many policies that we will implement here to take advantage of your tourism, of your crop processing zones so that we can create jobs for people, Technical and Vocational education for the many young people. I met so many young people across the length and breadth of the Central region and we are going to make sure that we give you skills so that you can enter the world of work. The one million jobs plan will focus on this region to make sure that as many people are given jobs as we can. And so thank you very much Central region you have being good to us, we know you are a swing region, am positive that you are swinging towards us this election and that NDC will emerge victorious.”
