In his first public statement since a life-threatening injury, renowned journalist Kofi Adomah Nwanwani has opened up about the severe pain and ongoing challenges he is facing.

Despite enduring constant headaches and struggling to find rest, Kofi emphasized his desire to speak out while he still can.

The injury occurred during a musketry display in Dormaa in December 2024 when gunpowder residue struck his eye. Despite the excruciating pain, Kofi remained dedicated to his work, continuing to cover the event and seeking treatment in Dubai.

However, he expressed deep disappointment over feeling abandoned by his community during his recovery and alleged that some traditional leaders in Dormaa attempted to conceal the incident to avoid public embarrassment.

With frustration, Kofi stated, “If anybody will do this to me, I didn’t expect it to come from Bono people.” Despite the ordeal, he expressed gratitude to God for his life and thanked his family and the people of Ghana for their unwavering support and prayers.
