I never threatened demo against Akufo-Addo – NPP Vice Chair

The Central Regional First Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Horace Ekow Ewusi has denied ever threatening or planning any demonstration against President Akufo-Addo on his working visit to the Central Region.

Senco Homes

Mr. Ewusie has been reported in the media to have “among the series of activities aimed at achieving his aim is an alleged threat to sponsor a demonstration against the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, when he touches down in the Cape-Coast, on Thursday, July 25, 2019, to begin his three-day official tour to the Central Region.”

But, Mr. Ewusi in a rejoinder signed by Awake News, has said those publications are “palpable falsehood and must be treated as such”

Rather sounding resolute, Mr. Ewusie said “We are busily working around the clock to ensure a heroic welcome for H.E President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to the Region.”

He has since called on members of the NPP to “reject any tendencies that has the potential of disunity and chaos”

“I want to use this opportunity to encourage all patriots in the Central Region to prepare their hearts and minds for absolute peace and unity in the party and reject any tendencies that has the potential of disunity and chaos.”

The Central Region NPP has been turmoil for the past few weeks following a petition by one Edward Okraku Adum leveling series of allegations against Mr. Ewusie which he [Ewusie] has since denied the content of the petition and sued the petitioner for defamation.

In a rather interesting twist, the Central Regional Chairman, Mr. Robert Kutin Jnr has acted on the Mr. Okraku Adum’s petition addressed to the National Security Minister and copied him [Mr. Kutin] to suspend the his 1st Vice Chairman.

Mr. Kutin Jnr’s action has been met with demonstration by some member of the NPP from the Central Region demanding for the reinstatement of their Vice Chairman saying Mr. Kutin Jnr’s action is unjustified and not within his powers.

RE: NPP VICE CHAIR FIGHTS BACK, THREATENS DEMO AGAINST AKUFFO ADDO

I refer to the above subject matter, that I Horace Ekow Ewusi is threatening to stage a demonstration against the President of the Republic, H.E Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo on his working tour to my home Region.

This is a palpable falsehood and must be treated as such.

We are busily working around the clock to ensure a heroic welcome for H.E President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to the Region.

I want to use this opportunity to encourage all patriots in the Central Region to prepare their hearts and minds for absolute peace and unity in the party and reject any tendencies that has the potential of disunity and chaos.

God bless us all and make us great and strong.
Kukrudu!!! Eshie!!!!

Signed:

Horace Ekow Ewusie
